Iris Van Herpen is one of our all time favourites. 

Supposedly, people these days are referring to her as the next Alexander McQueen...

"For me fashion is an expression of art that is very closely related to myself and to my body. I see it as my expression of identity combined with desire, mood and cultural setting." (Iris van Herpen). 

The Haute Couture designer attempts to explore the way in which fashion is essentially an artistic expression, it is 'showing and wearing art'. 

Ultimately, through her designs, Van Herpen expresses the character and emotions of a unique woman, extending and hyper-exaggerating the shape of the feminine body in detail.
